Centro di antiche origini, Sermoneta è uno dei più bei borghi medioevali del Lazio. La cittadina circondata da una possente cinta muraria sorge nel luogo dove c’era l’antica Sulmo, città dei Volsci, in seguito divenuta colonia romana con il nome di Sora Moneta.

Centre d'anciennes origines, Sermoneta est l'un des plus beaux villages médiévaux du Latium. La ville entourée d'un puissant mur s'élève à l'endroit où se trouvait l'ancienne Sulmo, ville des Volsci, qui devint plus tard une colonie romaine portant le nom de Sora Moneta.
